So there’s only been talk of the Rihanna and Chris situation lately and I am getting extremely tired of it so how about we all agree to ignore the big elephant in the room and talk about Rihanna and a different man in her life, Drake.

If Rihanna would have put as much effort into her 2012 Brit Awards performance as she did her Grammy’s performance, well maybe American music lovers would be more pleased with her. But she gave it all to the Brits and left us some sloppy seconds. It’s always the Brits.

Before I could even make it to my TiVo, Perez Hilton and the entire web world had already filled me in on Rihanna’s Grammy activities. She showed up look classy in a little black dress, and she started her performance in a more than impressive light. She started a somewhat acoustic ballad of “We Found Love” in almost darkness. Two lights like phoenix lightning bugs glittered and danced above her and then they burst together and their fireworks rained over her. It was pretty magical and it made you think it was only the beginning.

So Rihanna was #1 on the trending topics of Yahoo! Today, not mention getting high in the ranks on some other websites, and for what? Something that shouldn’t be news to us. She dyed her hair. Again. For the 345^th time. Yes. I counted. But Rihanna decided that Blondes do have more fun and is back with a long blonde weave, but this time it is not as back as her formal blonde tresses.

So in the mist of all surrounding news around Rihanna this week, the partying with Chris Brown, a helicopter sent down from Little Debbie heaven to Ri while in Hawaii and the pictures of her smoking marijuana in skimpy bikinis I struggled to figure out what I could write about with this week. I won’t write about her and Chris because in my mind infused with denial it is totally not happening and is a figment of tabloid imagination.  While as I type this on an airplane NOT filled with Little Debbie goodness and still try to think of a worthy topic I have come to one conclusion: She must have multi personality disorder.

Rihanna has done the most amazing collaboration yet. “Princess of China” with Coldplay. Literally, I didn’t believe it was her. Her voice rang in so clearly and wonderfully and did not contain ONE sexual reference. Ding Ding Ding We Have A Winner.

Rihanna and Coldplay are bliss to anyone’s ears when you hear them together. This is surprising because they are not a very likely group to work with, I actually didn’t quite believe it when I heard they would be performing together at the Brit awards and was confused when I heard the duo was joining in a track… Then I heard it.
